FLOOR-PRO 116 SF EPOXY PRIMER

FLOOR-PRO 116 SF EPOXY PRIMER is a two-component, low viscosity, solvent-free prefilled epoxy primer with excellent substrate wetting and penetration.

Application Areas
- Ideal to be used on prepared concrete to seal the porosity and provide penetration to
enhance adhesion for subsequent coating
Substrate Requirements
- Concrete or screed substrate compressive strength should be of minimum 25 N/mm2 and adhesive pull off strength of 1.5 N/mm2.
- The moisture content of concrete shall be < 4% by Tramex machine. It shall be free from rising damp and must be waterproofed against negative ground water pressure.
Application Methods: Applying FLOOR-PRO 116 SF EPOXY PRIMER
- Mix Part A (Base) thoroughly for 1-2 minutes using a mechanical stirrer until homogeneous.
- Add all the Part B (Hardener) into Part A (Base) and mix thoroughly for 2-3 minutes using a mechanical stirrer until homogeneous. Use a 300 – 500 rpm slow-speed drill, with a spiral mixing blade or Jiffy mixer. Move the mixing blade in circles around the inside edge of the pail from bottom to top. Transfer the mixed material to a clean container and mix for another minute. Avoid inclusion of air during the mixing process.
- Mixture is poured onto the surface in portions, may be applied by brush, roller or spray. Spread with a squeegee and back roll with a roller. On porous and heavily absorbent
concretes a second application is advisable
Overcoating of FLOOR-PRO 116 SF EPOXY PRIMER
- Subsequent finishing or overlayment should be applied once the primer becomes tackfree but before the primer completely hardens which is within 24 hours.
- Exposure of the paint film to water, chemical and abrasion should be avoided as far as
possible before full cure of the coating.
